Last year I spent a week in Japan and had the most enchanting time. Every day, I just went walking around Kyoto trying to find those amazing little gardens. I wish I could have stayed another month. Michael Kenna seems to be very fortunate. He managed to travel to japan a few years in a row and has some outstanding imagery.
Before you go to Josef Hoflehner’s website, maybe you want to grab a cup of coffee, a biscuit or two and a lot of time. Josef has so many amazing folios, you’ll want to spent a long time there. I had a hard time to decide which series was my favourite, but “Expect delays” was rather fitting. Ohhh how I would love to own one of these prints. Even a small/tiny one.
Moloko no 8 is out and it is an absolute treat. It looks stunning and I am delighted to be part of such a great and inspiring group or artists.
These rich and lovely images are from Flora Hanitijo. Again they seem to inspire me more to dream about a getaway.
I think saturday has to be my favourite day. A day to enjoy a long breakfast, read, play chess, catch up with friends and generally take time to do everything a bit slower. Looking for new photographers for next week I came upon Alexey Titarenko and was absolutely overjoyed by his timeless photography, that I had to post him straight away. The images below are from his series “Black & White Magic of St. Petersburg” (1995-1999).
