Today I came upon John Chervinsky’s images “An Experiment in Perspective” and was utterly delighted. On his website he has this great quote by Marshall McLuhan: “A point of view can be a dangerous luxury when substituted for insight and understanding.”
Today I had the pleasure to view Roger Ballan’s work at the Monash Gallery of Art. I have adored his work, ever since I came across one of his books and it was a delight to stand in front of his images and be able to study them. His photographs are an inspiration and I have posted some of his work previously.
There is beauty everywhere and as a photographer we just have to concentrate sometimes to see and appreciate it. Most people would have probably walked by these scenes, but Nathan Cyprys – I imagine, was inspired by the random spaces he encountered.
I came across Brendan George Ko through Darrens website and thought if I not post them straight away, I will forget where I found them. I have always adored words and when I read I find myself underlining a word here and there, only to put them together at a later stage and try different variations to make up little stories, titles or poems… So you can imagine how much I appreciate these beautiful and simple images with the typography. Finished pieces, ready for a book cover.
I came across Darren Rigo via red thread and bookmarked him as his images stopped me and made me appreciate little things.
I could not decide which images to show from Stefan Ruiz. I often find myself drawn to images devoid of people. For me it adds to the mystery and allows me to invent my own personal story within the empty landscape.
