I am god mother to two lovely girls and yet I do no see them very often. This is why Igor Starkov’s “Boy” series touched me. His images and use of space portray the time he spent with Dime perfectly. A dream they managed to dream together.

When I was in Rome I had the pleasure to stay with Fabio who showed me Rome by Vespa (the only way one should experience Rome) and introduced me to Alessandro Imbriaco amongst other friends. Over a few beers, we laughed, discussed photography, art residences and of cause Rome. These images are part of his series “Casilino 900″. I adore his colour sense and I imagine, these images could easily to be part of a movie – unfolding and taking us through a journey through the urban landscapes of Rome.

So I made it back to Australia and our new house in the country. It was a delight to travel, but it is equally nice to be back home. There is still a lot to do on our new house, but I hope to be able to post more often. Today I would like to present you the work of Tessa Bunney from her travels across the suburbs and villages of Vietnam.

I had every intention to write more, research more, organise my folio and follow up on outstanding emails, but intentions can be broken and it is very necessary sometimes to simply take time. One of these days – I will write more often, I will showcase some fantastic artists I have seen and…. Today I received these lovely images by Steven Alvarez. His images are moments caught in perfect timing.

A while ago I stumbled upon Daniel Augschoell’s website and was delighted by his images. The images below are from his series “I Am the River Down the Valley”. He is also directing Ahorn – an online magazine dedicated to contemporary photography in collaboration with Anya Jasbar.

So it took me a while to finish this edition, but here it is. A while ago I read this lovely text by Dominic Eichler in Frieze “History shows that art is what remains. Burst of energy come from nowhere and change the landscape overnight. The idea of art is nimble enough to defy definition, art loves problems, misfits, hermits & the reckless: art challenges death & despair: art may be full of contradictions, but at its core lies the idea of championing freedom.”

In this edition you find the work of
