Historical significance
The art of photography is not only to see things as they are, but also to see them objectively and then to let your heart make the selection. Not only has John Cyr documented an historical reference, but he “uncovers” it and makes us look more sharply at the philosophy of photography in it’s historical context. What happens in the darkroom is a combination of art and science – and these images make me miss the long days of darkness.
